Wig Making

A thorough, hands-on wig-making course — from understanding cap construction and choosing your hair, to coloring, customising, and styling a complete wig ready to wear or sell. Whether you want to make wigs for yourself or start a business, this is where you begin.

Ideal for those looking to extend the life of existing wigs or offer these services professionally.

Wig Making Class
  • Wig-making kit list sent on booking confirmation (materials vary by method)
  • Wig block/mannequin head (canvas)
  • Clamp or stand for mannequin head
  • Notepad and pen
  • Comfortable clothes — you may get glue or dye on them
  • Practice Hair and wig materials.
  • Coffee, Tea and small snacks
Wig Install & Styling
  • Please bring your own wig to install and work on during class
  • Wig grip band and wig caps
  • Wig adhesives
  • Rat-tail comb and fine-tooth comb
  • Sharp scissors for lace cutting
  • Edge control and setting spray
  • Hair dryer or warm blow dryer to use during class
Colour, Laundry & Revamp
  • Please bring one wig to work on — human hair preferred, synthetic is fine
  • Towels
  • Gloves (provided, but you can bring your own if preferred)
  • Common color dyes and developers
  • Hair dye kit
  • Please wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting marked

Common Questions
Do I need any experience to join?
No prior experience is needed for any of our classes. The Wig Making and Colour classes are designed for beginners and intermediates. The Install class is suitable for all levels.
How do I pay? Is a deposit required?
A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking and hold your spot if making a manual payment. The balance is due before or on the first day of class. We accept EFT, Debit/Credit Card, PayJustNow, ZeroPay, and RCS.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule. Your deposit transfers to your new date. Same-day cancellations or no-shows forfeit the deposit.
Are materials included in the price?
A list of materials is included in the class fee unless specified. The full materials list is sent upon booking so that you can come fully prepared. For the Colour class, some consumables are also provided on the day.
Can I book a private class on a different day?
Private 1-on-1 sessions can be arranged on available days outside the standard schedule — including Saturdays. Contact us to discuss dates.
Do I receive a certificate?
A House of Amani certificate of completion is issued for all of our classes.
